Music Tech Ed: Basic Sequencing & Notation

This course will cover basic skills in music notation, MIDI sequencing, and electronic keyboards, as applied in today’s K-12 music classroom. In a hands-on environment, participants will explore many ways to incorporate these useful and potentially timesaving tools into their daily curriculum.

This course fulfills TI:ME Level 1A certification requirement.

Music Tech Ed: Basic CAI & Internet

This course will cover basic skills in using computer instructional software, configuring and using computers on networks and the Internet, and the basics of using digital media in K-12 education.

This course fulfills TI:ME Level 1B certification requirement.

Music Tech Ed: Advanced Digital Notation

The course is designed to train instrumental, choral, and classroom music specialists to use Finale and Sibelius for notating and printing music. Participants will learn how to input music using an electronic keyboard and computer, how to print out scores and parts, and special techniques to help in composing and arranging.

This course fulfills a TI:ME Level 2A certification requirement.

Music Tech Ed: Advanced MIDI Sequencing

This hands-on course is designed to make participants more proficient in the art of MIDI sequencing. On up-to-date hardware and software, participants will explore techniques for creating dynamic, musical sequences in any style, improving the sound of Standard MIDI Files, and incorporating their work into the K-12 classroom. This course is designed for the experienced computer user.

This course fulfills a TI:ME Level 2A certification requirement.
